Physiotiques, meet the team who will get you moving.

The Physiotiques team is made up of expert leaders in the pelvic health field who take a unique, collaborative approach to treatment and managing issues related to your pelvic and core areas. We know this can be a sensitive subject and one that has many myths and misconceptions but our team is here to help you.

Our certified pelvic health physiotherapists have extensive specialized training in this area of care, including issues like pelvic pain, traumatic births, abdominal separation, and sexual concerns. When you receive treatment from our team,  you can be assured you are in good hands. Our physiotherapists are professionals with a personal touch, you will receive confidential treatment in a supportive environment.

Physiotiques was formed because of Cheryl’s strong belief that in order to treat and empower someone you need to get to know the whole person – not just a set of muscles and bones. The Physiotiques team does exactly this, they see, listen to and help the whole person.

Picture

Barb Komar loves working with people. She has been a Registered Nurse (Winnipeg) since she was 20, and then went back to school to get a degree in Psychology from Simon Fraser University, completed another 2 years of wellness management courses, and then did a Masters in Counselling Psychology degree from Arizona State University.

She completed her Internship at St. Paul’s Hospital in Reproductive Mental Health under the direction of several psychiatrists. This was a good fit given her background as nurse. She was able to gain an understanding and competency in working with clients with moderate to severe anxiety, depression, and trauma.
